The Fable Tribe on Etsy: Second Update! [01 Mar 2012|10:37am]

(Originally posted on TheFableTribe.com~)

The second update of our Etsy shop, The Fable Tribe, is now live! Many magical Glamourkins have been added--please go take a peek and see if any speak to you! <3

Take an old, unloved fairy tale book and an original spell, charm and poem, combine them together with a bit of magic, and you create a Glamourkin pendant. Based on the idea of the "Glamourbomb," (any act or creation that brings magic to the mundane), each Glamourkin is utterly unique, made in the spirit of enchantment.

We believe each Glamourkin is created for one specific person. Are you the one? <3

Been hard at work making new items for the shop and today I got five new pieces photographed and listed!

Between two new trees - a multi colored Opal and a watermelon tourmaline - and two pairs of sterling hoops (rainbow gemstone and emerald green aventurine) and even a new pair of 14k gold threader earrings in a rainbow of color, there's a lot more variety available right now in the shop!

And, as always, I gladly accept custom orders so if you don't see exactly what you want, just ask! I'll be happy to make it for you.

Antler and Bone Jewelry [17 Jan 2012|11:34am]

erl_queen
I just made a huge upload of new jewelry to The Bone Forest Collection – 19 necklaces and 2 bracelets! Includes antler burrs and tines, bones of sheep, deer, elk, coyote, opossum, raccoon, skunk, mink, and bobcat, dog teeth, coyote claws, a preserved squirrel paw, and a whole mink skull! All nestled amidst sparkling glass jewels and stones such as garnet, magnesite, lava rock, onyx, quartz and jasper.

Many of these would make excellent ritual adornments, or devotional pieces for totem animals. Come check them out:

Hey, folks, I just got done with a HUGE art dump, all wolf-related. I spent the past few weeks in an artwork intensive where I made dozens of pieces of sacred ritual art with wolf bits--headdresses, tails, rune and ogam sets, athames, and more!

I would really appreciate it if ya went and took a look, passed on the word to anyone who may be interested, and even purchase something or start a layaway if you like! Here's the link with pics and info :) Or you can just stroll right on over to my Etsy store, too.

Thank you :)

Just one of many pictures of my newest big, ambitious work--a ceremonial headdress of Anput, the feminine aspect of Anpu (Anubis), made from a black coyote hide, leather, and copious applications of paint pens! An absolutely amazing sacred ritual piece, one of a kind, and looking for a new home.

Lots more pictures and details over here on my LJ!

Thanks :) And please feel free to pass this on to anyone you feel may like it!

Fensalir Fiber on Etsy [24 Oct 2011|08:45pm]

gallows_queen
I have some exciting news (exciting to me, anyway): at long last, my new Etsy store, Fensalir Fiber, is open for business! The shop features unique art yarns hand spun by me and inspired by all of the obsessions that form the basis of my life: magic, folklore and fairy tales, the spirit world, special local places and power spots (in and around my home in Eugene, OR), the natural world, and the ephemeral world of dreams.

Since pagan themes figure heavily in my designs and I know that a lot of pagans knit and/or crochet, I thought some of you in this community might be interested! Looking for the perfect yarn to craft or embellish a special hood, cloak, or other cozy winter accessory? My current selection of one of a kind skeins includes fantasy yarns wiith names like Mermaid, Brownie, Black Annis, Amanita, Brisingamen, Coyote Sunset, and Faerie Gold, with lots more designs coming soon.

Don't knit or crochet? Many of my yarns are designed for embellishment purposes, and could also be used in a variety of other crafts such as dollmaking, scrapbooking, home decor, or felting, or even for tree trimming or other decorating projects for the holidays. Don't see exactly what you're looking for? Well, as I said, I will be adding more offerings on a regular basis, so stay tuned! I am also open to commissions, however, and would love to spin something special just for you. I will also spin your pet's fiber into a special yarn as a keepsake. Just email me and we'll talk!

In the meantime though, go have a look!

New Etsy Shop: Goblinesquerie [18 Oct 2011|09:56am]

erl_queen
I've finally opened the second Etsy shop I've been planning for awhile now, it's called Goblinesquerie

Basically, I wanted to keep The Bone Forest Collection to a particular aesthetic (and only jewelry), but I kept having ideas for other crafts made of bones and other animal bits, along with various materials I've been exploring. So this is a receptacle for all those experiments and inspirations. There's some jewelry, some home decor, some ritual objects. Expect more overtly "witchy" items here.

Some of the more pagan pieces include:
  • incense burners made from deer bones
  • a coyote skull coated in blackboard paint so you can draw sigils or veves on it with chalk and erase and draw again
  • beautifully decorated animal skulls suitable as fetishes
  • a crown made of serpent vertebrae
Please come check out the new shop!

I know I've been quiet for a bit. Part of it is because I was working on this--a re-imagined Red Riding Hood costume, with leather and bone and other such things, and a rather pagan backstory to give her more than just a trip through a wolf's gullet! Click the picture below to go to the relevant journal entry, with more info, LOTS more pictures, and purchasing info--thank you :)

It's artwork update time, kids! You KNOW you're thrilled! This is an all-tails update; I made a whole bunch for Faerie Worlds, and it ended up being overkill, so here's what's left over.

Details over here on my journal (where there's some additional info about the tails themselves), or over on my Etsy store!

And, as always, word of mouth makes the world go 'round. Want to support this self-employed artist? Pass this post on to anyone you feel may be interested! Thank you :)
